James Forrest, 75

| June 16, 2021 1:00 AM

James "Jim" Leonard Forrest, 75, went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2021, with his family by his side in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Jim was born June 23, 1945, in Agawam, Mass., to James and Lorraine (LaValley) Forrest. He worked on and raced dragsters. In his younger years he was the definition of “pedal to the metal.”

Jim had a love for sailboats, RVs, camping and fishing. However, there was no greater love than the love of his life and amazing wife, Gayle Forrest. He loved his beautiful daughters Teal McDevitt, Andrea Thompson, Tina Thompson, Angela Unruh, Kelly Arroyo, Kim Forrest and his son Sean Forrest.

Jim didn’t only touch his family’s hearts; he made friends all over the United States. As he settled in Coeur d'Alene, he became a part of the community by owning his own home repair business, a health business, and finally a jerky business ... he enjoyed being his own boss. All the way up until his passing, he was the helping hand you needed. We will forever hold him close to our hearts. We will meet again. We’ll love and cherish you forever.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 19, at Mountain Lakes Bible church, 2215 N. Seventh St., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
