Timberlake state sprint champion Craven signs with LC State

LEWISTON — Timberlake High senior Jeana Craven, who recently won a state 3A title in the 200 meters, is one of four recent signees for the Lewis-Clark State track and field program.

Craven, a sprinter out of Spirit Lake, was a district champion in the 100, 200, 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay, as well as a state champ in the 200. She also competed on the cheerleading team and helped the Timberlake Tigers to a 3A State Championship in STUNT.

“I’m really excited about Jeana,” LC State assistant coach Cyrus Hall said. “I think she fits our women’s culture very well. She was the 3A 200-meter state champion this year, so obviously she is very talented. I’m excited to get her in here with our women’s sprints group and see what she does. I think she will be very good for us and I am hoping that she can help out on our 4x100-meter relay that we have been trying to get to nationals.”

Craven and Skye Mackintosh (Asotin High), Mykiah Overton (Cove High) and Ellea Uhlenkott (Prairie High) will join Lewiston High’s Jennah Carpenter and Madigan Kelly as part of the incoming class.
