NOTICE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON BUDGET FOR 2021-2022 FOR THE HAYDEN LAKE WATERSHED IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT A public hearing pursuant to Idaho Code 50-1002 will be held for consideration of the proposed budget for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. Kootenai Metropolitan Planning Organization Coeur d'Alene Health Corridor District Transportation Planning and Traffic Analysis Study Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment Kootenai Metropolitan Planning Organization (KMPO), ignite cda, Kootenai Health, the City of Coeur d' Alene, and the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) are working collaboratively to identify the transportation changes needed to accommodate development in and around the Health Corridor Urban Renewal District. A master plan for the Health Corridor was completed by ignite cda in September 2019 and subsequently adopted by the Coeur d' Alene City Council in November 2019. The Master Plan provides a long-range vision for development within the Health Corridor Urban Renewal District. In July 2020, KMPO, ignite cda, Kootenai Health, the City of Coeur d'Alene, and ITD contracted with DOWL to perform the current study to build upon the Master Plan. This project is focused on evaluating the transportation needs and developing recommendations for solutions that address congestion and safety issues within and around the Health Corridor District. The Master Plan refers to these solutions as "Mobility Improvements" and recommends further study to review and refine the transportation infrastructure needs, which is the purpose of this current effort. The project scope includes the following: Review the existing transportation system needs; determine future transportation needs to accommodate the development proposed in the Master Plan; review the needs and proposed solutions with project stakeholders and the public; and develop an implementation plan for construction of the proposed solutions that meet the future transportation needs. A virtual open house will be held June 17th, 2021 from 5 pm to 7 pm to provide public review of the results, which includes existing conditions analysis and proposed changes that have been developed to support future growth in the Health Corridor.
