Marek continues to lead Lilac City Invitational

Brad Marek, who recently played in the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island, S.C., maintained the lead after the second day of the 54-hole Lilac City Invitational on Saturday at The Fairways at West Terrace near Cheney.

Marek, pro at Corica Park Golf Course in Alameda, Calif., shot 66-72—138 and leads by four shots at 6-under par.

Adam Power, a professional and a member of Hayden Lake Country Club, is in third place. He shot a 1-under-par 71 on Saturday and is at 1-over 145, seven strokes back of the leader, Power was one of only two players to break par on Saturday.

Eddie Heinen of Coeur d’Alene is tied for 11th at 7-over 151 after rounds of 71 and 80.

Russell Grove, men’s and women’s golf coach at North Idaho College, is tied for 19th at 10-over 154, following rounds of 81 and 73.

The tourney concludes today.
