POST FALLS — Two Spokane Valley people were injured in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 90 on Thursday.

According to the Idaho State Police, Dale Hattenburg, 70, was eastbound on a 2007 Harley Davidson and approaching milepost 5.5 when he came upon stop-and-go traffic due to construction in the area.

"Hattenburg was not able to stop his bike due to his speed and to avoid a collision with another vehicle he drove into the median," the ISP press release said.

Hattenburg and his passenger, Marilyn Hattenburg, 65, were ejected from the motorcycle. They were transported to Kootenai Health. Both were wearing helmets, ISP said.

An investigation is ongoing.
