VOTING: Sample ballot service

Dear Ralph D. Shay,

You are complaining about “electioneering,” but admit that it didn’t actually happen? I personally appreciate the volunteers who pass out Republican sample ballots…yes, always over 100 feet away from the voting facility, therefore, avoiding electioneering.

Those sample ballots are handy, and they really help people figure out what a candidate believes. Did you know there is a website link on the sample ballot that directs citizens to read each candidate’s responses to key questions? The more informed voter, the better!

Ralph, I suggest that you take advantage of early voting, available every day for weeks ahead of voting day. This way you can cast your vote without having to view your kind, smiling neighbors handing out valuable information for those who want it.
