Craven, a senior, won the 200-meter dash in 26.83 seconds at the state 3A track meet on May 22 at Middleton High, edging teammate Reese Yerian, who was second in 27.18. Timberlake finished runner-up in the meet, the program’s highest finish since winning the state title in 2011. “We’ve been close all three years that we’ve ran together,” Craven said. “We were both just excited the race was over.”
