Michael James Kidd, 43

Michael James Kidd was born prematurely on Jan. 6, 1978, in Fountain Valley, Calif., and was taken prematurely from us on July 25, 2021, at the young age of 43.

He is survived by his sons Mason and Jadain Kidd, his mother Kathleen Potter and step father Nels Potter, his father Calvin Kidd and stepmother Suzanne Kidd, his grandfather Don Bailey, his siblings Christopher and Tara Kidd, Brian Kidd, Amy Stull, step brothers Marc and Randy Potter, dear friend Lisa Weyland, many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Michael grew up in Norco, Calif., and moved to Post Falls, Idaho with his family when he was 17. His first job was a paper route which he did with his sister Amy and little brother Brian. Next he worked at Silverwood and there he met many friends. One of those friends was Tara, who is now married to his oldest brother Christopher. Later he became a caregiver working in a group home for the physically and mentally disabled.

Michael’s life was blessed with the birth of two amazing sons, Mason and Jadain Kidd whom he loved with every fiber of his being. His greatest joy was watching them succeed in life and grow into kind, loving young men.

Michael loved to play the guitar which brought him much peace and joy. He was working on restoring a guitar at the time of his death. He loved to grow a garden and enjoyed the fruits of his labor. He loved being on the CB and had the handle of “Dough Boy”. He enjoyed seeing how far away he could reach someone. He always had a fish tank and found it very calming to sit and watch his fish. He enjoyed playing frisbee golf with his brothers and friends. He loved football and his favorite team was the Raiders.

Michael had a smile that would melt your heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a great storyteller and had many stories to tell. Michael was a true and loyal friend to all. He had a heart of gold and could not stand to see anyone go without. Michael had many gifts and talents that he used to help others, never asking for anything in return. He reached out to help many over the years and exhibited a true Christ like love for his fellow man.

Family was everything to Michael. He loved his brothers and sister with his whole heart and they knew he was there for them whenever they needed him. He was a joy to his mother and a loyal friend to his father. Michael was an amazing uncle and was very loved by his nieces Katelyn, Ashlee, Sara, Brianna, Cambria and nephews Brendon, Camdon, Eric, and Billy.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Donna Bailey, Grandmother Annette Kidd, grandfather Ernest Kidd and dear friends Megan, "Scrappy", Pat, Bret, and Colby.

Our hearts are broken at the loss of our dear precious Michael. Our lives will never be the same without him. We will be forever changed but will carry on, for that is what he would want. He was saddened to leave us, but knows we will be there for each other as we learn to walk without him. He is in the Lord’s hands now, free from a broken body, whole and pure and golden. Michael, may you rest in peace in His loving arms.
