NELLY: It’s about rap, not race

There you go again, making complaints all about RACISM. I’m referring to the editorial in Sunday’s paper “Don’t fear the rapper.” You are such Democrats. I’m not prejudiced, and I DON’T like the idea of any rapper coming to a fair, which is a country atmosphere. Who wants to listen to that while they are enjoying the fair.

There were plenty of alternative venues they could have booked, that would have had sellout crowds, also. I am very disappointed in what they chose. It’s not the kids who pay to enter the fair. My main complaint is that you turned a complaint of having a rapper, into a complaint about him being black…about RACISM. I can choose to not go to the fair while he is there, which I will. Just to clarify things, I have black grands and greats, where love is a two-way street. Prejudice against blacks does not live in my family.
