GROWTH: How much is too much?

| July 28, 2021 1:00 AM

In response to The Press article published on July 21, Wilhelm announces re-election bid.

Linda states up front that she is “pro-growth. Being she is a real estate broker, I could understand that would be in her best interest. But what is in the best interest for the city of Post Falls?

She states she is a proponent of “planned growth,” but are we truly seeing anything thought out and planned before we continue this steady flow of annexations and zoning changes? Our roads can’t handle the community’s rapid growth we have already witnessed. Our schools and medical facilities will not be able to accommodate the OVER growth, before the infrastructure to handle.

Too many neighborhood developments with extremely dense housing adds to the traffic woes. We do not currently have commercial and industrial businesses to employ within the city. How about we fix our roads and build these job providing businesses BEFORE we continue this out of control growth.

My biggest question for Linda, she states she doesn’t want to see her hometown grow to 100,000 people, well, what number is she willing to state she wants? What is the magic number, Linda?
