THANKS: For Press and prayers

I just want to thank you for some recent articles printed in The Press that I really appreciate.

I thought the front-page article recently about the Kootenai Humane Society did a great job explaining why the need for a new facility is so urgent.

I also really appreciate the editorial piece “The other choice is the right one” and the article on James McDay. It grieves me that there is still so much prejudice and hate in this country; not just racial, but political. What happened to civility, kindness and a little respect for our nation’s leaders, even if you didn’t vote for them?

Jesus said, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44) In 1 Timothy 2:1-4 it tells us that we should pray for our leaders. So let’s hate less and pray more.
