PETS: Let justice prevail

| July 23, 2021 1:00 AM

Regarding the “justice” of the canine physically abused and assaulted by a lesser “Mr. Jones” whose case is obviously absurd, this area would do well to reconstruct a system of actual justice for its domesticated and wild furry-friends.

The Press article boasts that any way out of punishment for an animal crime is to say one “heard voices not there” and the judge (maybe an animal lover, maybe not) asks, “Are you sure you’re sorry? Try not to do it again,” and so the day continues on free as a metaphorical bird.

I cannot be allowed to say what my punishment is regarding animal abuse to the one who is abusing, should I catch them or even wind of such sub-animal acts of cruelty. Chastising does little. Court does nothing. There are no voices to protect anything less than the very scum and slime that perpetrate such acts so from here out.

Do unto others as they would do to a voiceless and defenseless beacon of happiness in our dismal world. Thanks, System. You never cease to amaze me in the name of ignorance.
