Ronald Kramer, 74

| July 21, 2021 1:00 AM

Much to our sorrow, Ronald (Ron) Kramer passed away on June 29, 2021. Ron was born on May 16, 1947, in New Britain, Conn., where he spent his boyhood years. He leaves behind one brother Alan and longtime companion Leslie MacMaster.

Ron attended Morehead State University and graduated with a degree in Education. He honed his craft as a teacher for over 30 years, spending most of his distinguished career at Canfield Middle School in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Ron was an influential teacher. Students loved his jokes, appreciated his sharp wit, and groaned at his puns, all of which enlivened his teaching of American history.

He was an avid skier, ardent bicyclist, and had a deep love of nature. The yearly "Manly Camping" event (don't ask, only his fellow "Manly Men" would understand!) was always a highlight. Ron will be sorely missed by those who knew him. He was truly a positive force.

A memorial is planned for 2 p.m. Sept. 12, 2021, at the Eagles Pavilion off 15th Street in Coeur d'Alene. Ron loved music and dancing so live music will be provided by those who knew him well. Please come, bring a side, no-host bar, and join us in celebration of his life.
