SPOKANE — The Spokane Symphony with Music Director James Lowe announces its 2021-2022 concert season — its the 76th season — with seven Masterworks concerts and three Pops concerts at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.

Concerts will be back to normal, with full audience seating. Due to the pandemic, the Spokane Symphony has not performed as a whole entity since March 7, 2020.

“The Spokane Symphony’s musicians and I can’t wait to be back on stage at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox, playing live music again for our community," said Spokane Symphony Music Director James Lowe. "I’m excited about the rich array of music we have planned for the 76th season—from well-known classics to undiscovered musical gems."

The general public may also purchase tickets for other events, including "The Nutcracker Ballet," "New Year’s Eve with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony," "Chamber Soirées at Barrister Winery," "Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert" and three "National Geographic Live" events.

Symphony season ticketholders have until Aug. 16 to renew their seats. On Aug. 17, single tickets for Masterworks and Pops concerts go on sale to the general public.

Children in grades K-12 may attend any Masterworks concert for free.

“We want to make orchestral music accessible to our youth, and this simple and radical concept, welcoming children aged 17 and under for free, is a way to introduce them to great works of music, and enhance their connection with culture and community,” said executive director Jeff vom Saal.

Tickets go on sale today for returning and new subscribers at www.spokanesymphony.org or through the box office at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox in person, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., 1001 W. Sprague Ave., or at 509-624-1200.
