Richard Gene Kraack, 81

Richard Gene Kraack, 81, born February 21, 1940, at home in Clagstone, Idaho, passed away July 11, 2021, at Pacifica Senior Living in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He grew up on the Harrison Flats and graduated from Kootenai High School in 1958. After high school he joined the Army. After the service, he worked various jobs in logging, construction and long haul trucking. He attained his realtors license in Oregon where he sold real estate for over 30 years.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alberta Kraack; brothers, John and Alvin Kraack; sisters, Beverly Kamstra and Gerry Howe. He is survived by his son, Richard Kraack (Jeanine); granddaughters, Kelsey Kraack and Dorena Bartel (Brent); great grandson, Ezra Scott Bartel; brothers, Dean, Pete (Beverly), Mike (Pam) Kraack; sisters, Francis Phemmons and Diane Halverson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kootenai Humane Society, 11650 N. Ramsey Road Hayden, Idaho 83835. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2021, at Riverview Cemetery, 1001 Lincoln Way, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814. Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
