WIND: Second strike hurts

| July 9, 2021 1:00 AM

I need a lot more than 250 words to tell my story. We live across the road from where all the trees were logged off by a new owner in late December 2020. On Jan 13, a horrendous windstorm came through the logged area off the prairie and took out our trees and our neighbors’ and hit our homes. Thankfully no one was killed or injured.

Recently, we had another whirlwind come through our backyard and blew our patio into orbit and wrecked our umbrellas. Of course the big company across the street doesn’t care about any damages as they continue to build. Many days starting at 5 a.m. with heavy machinery shaking our house that sounds like an earthquake shaking everything in the cupboards. So frustrating.
