| July 1, 2021 1:00 AM

The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber Natural Resources Committee's annual osprey cruise is set for July 10.

You will tour Lake Coeur d’Alene’s Cougar Bay on the Mish-an-Nock, courtesy of Lake Coeur d’Alene Cruises and Captain Carl Fus.

Ospreys are a fish-eating bird of prey native to North Idaho and Lake Coeur d’Alene. They return every spring, often to the same nests with the same mates. Experts on ospreys and other area wildlife will provide information and answer questions to help attendees learn more about these iconic birds.

Mounted bird displays and other exhibits are part of the program.

Wildlife and lake habitat specialists from the IDAHO DEQ and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe also participate and are available to answer questions and provide information about Lake Coeur d’Alene and its inhabitants and how it is managed and protected.
