TRUMP: Must be convicted

President Trump incited an insurrection. He can run again unless we constrain him now. That’s why the Senate must vote to convict him.

Do we want a president who reduces health insurance availability, denies global climate change, destroys public schools, separates families at the border, profits off the presidency, leverages foreign aid to obtain political favors, politicizes the Justice Department, subverts state control over elections, and ignores a pandemic that has killed well over 400,000 Americans?

I hope not.

Furthermore, Trump is unfit for office because he is unhealthy. A leading forensic psychiatrist told Scientific American (not a political journal) that Trump suffers from a narcissistic psychosis. “The leader, hungry for adulation to compensate for an inner lack of self-worth, projects grandiose omnipotence…” Sound familiar?

The only treatment is to make it impossible for Trump to run for public office.

At the same time, treat the conditions that render people susceptible to Trump’s influence, like the disparity of wealth and the lack of health insurance.
