BIDEN: Hope in this leader
The political pendulum for the last 12 years has swung from the left to the right, wielding with it huge uncertainty. But now we have seen the pendulum swing a little closer to the middle with Joe Biden while spotlighting yet again another historical moment of the first Female Vice President of Jamaican and South East Asian descent.
Previously South Carolina representative and now attorney and political commentator, Bakari Sellers, stated it best when he said, “This is history — no, scratch that — it’s her-story.” And how true this is for the many girls of color and boys watching our nation living up to its principles and values that anything is possible.
Perhaps all leaders are truly tailored for the times they are put in as Lincoln once recollected, with leaders like President Joe Biden whose history has been set against the backdrops of immense personal loss and peppered with grief. He can steady the course of this nation in its uncharted waters that is facing a sea of multifaceted crisis all at once crashing all about.
I believe he can do this and if so will cement to his legacy what he came to do all along: Heal a broken nation in reviving it back to life as a nation of decency and civility ensuring it posterity and maintaining it stays the greatest nation.
