William ‘Bill’ McRae Fisk

| January 24, 2021 1:00 AM

Bill was born to Barbara (McRae) and Wesley Fisk Jr., on Nov. 3, 1947, in Salinas, Calif. His family relocated to Sacramento in 1959.

Bill attended Highlands High School, and later, California Lutheran College. He joined the U.S.A.F. in 1968, serving with the 555th Tactical Fighter Squadron, returning to Sacramento in 1973. Upon his return, he became a proud carrier for the U.S.P.S. and delivered mail for more than 30 years.

Being a "car guy," he came out of retirement to work for Maita Toyota, and then Factory Motor Parts, before retiring permanently in early 2019. Bill loved British cars, especially his lovingly restored Triumph TR6. His passions included autocrossing, attending Triumphest and the historic races at Laguna Seca Raceway, where he was known for his flamingos, and discussing cars with all who would indulge.

In September 2019, Bill and his wife Debbie moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to be close to their grandchildren. He is survived and deeply missed by his wife, Debbie, two children, numerous grandchildren, many cousins, and his sister, Helena Fisk of Sacramento.

No formal services will be held at this time due to the current pandemic. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kootenai Humane Society in Bill's honor.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Memories and condolences may be shared on Bill's online memorial at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
