Gonzaga women's game, volleyball matches postponed

SPOKANE — Saturday’s women's basketball home contest between No. 20 Gonzaga and visiting BYU will not be played as scheduled due to COVID-19 related protocols within the BYU program.

The West Coast Conference has modified schedules, and Gonzaga will now travel to play at Portland on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The WCC is working to reschedule the BYU contest for a later date.

Portland’s originally scheduled games against BYU (Jan. 21) and San Diego (Jan. 23) were both postponed due to COVID-19 related protocols within both the BYU and USD programs.

Sunday’s Gonzaga game at Portland will be live-streamed on the WCC Network.

...Gonzaga volleyball’s previously scheduled season-opening matches at home against San Diego on Sunday and Monday have been postponed as a result of a positive COVID-19 test result within the San Diego program.

Gonzaga is working with the West Coast Conference to attempt to reschedule the affected matches.

WSU men's home game vs. Washington moved up to mid-February

SAN FRANCISCO - Upon the request of the Pac-12 Conference and in coordination with Washington, Washington State's home men's basketball game vs. the Huskies will be moved to Monday, February 15 at 5 p.m.

The game, played at Beasley Coliseum, will be live on the Pac-12 Network.

The teams will first meet Jan. 31 in Seattle.

The game in Pullman, originally scheduled for March 6 to end the regular season, was moved in order to free up the final week of the regular season to allow for makeup contests of previously postponed games during the regular season.
