COVERAGE: Seeing a disparity

In your Jan. 15 story “Rally for LGBTQ Youth,” I found it interesting how much press coverage you gave Ms. Olson and how little coverage you actually gave those who attended the “Stop the Child Abuse” rally that was held on Jan. 11. The public should hear the truth that the Coeur d’Alene Press and reporter Devin Weeks conveniently leaves out of this story. There was no follow-up story to the “Stop the Child Abuse” rally even though a Coeur d’Alene Press reporter was there.

Those supporting the “Stop the Child Abuse” rally numbered around 75 persons while the counter protesters numbered maybe 10. The Coeur d’Alene one-sided narrative is clear. You report on issues that support your leftist ideology and anyone that doesn’t is left out. Activism through the media, not journalism.
