Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N. Classic Drive for the ongoing dispute between neighbors. This time the complaint was about barking dogs.

• A Deputies handled a theft of tools call from E. Cape Horn Road. The R/P stated about $3,000 in tools were stolen from a job site.

• Post Falls Police Department requested a K-9 for a track of a suspect in a stabbing at White Pine Park. A Deputy and his K-9 partner arrived on scene. Once on scene they learned the track was old, the suspect left on a bicycle. Deputies assisted PFPD with looking for the suspect with negative results.

• A Deputy responded to Servpro N Carisa Ct regarding the theft of a computer. The R/P reported one of their client’s computers had been stolen. After the investigation it was determined the computer was not stolen and was returned to the owner.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies received information regarding the ferret theft from the day before. The victim had posted the security footage of the suspects on Facebook, which then was ran by North Idaho News. An employee with Petco called to report that two people had bought several items for a ferret moments after the theft occurred. Doing good cop work, the two Deputies were able to identify the suspect. They were able to locate a phone number for him and an address in Spokane. They contacted the suspect, who admitted to taking the ferret, however, he refused to return it in Idaho where he could be arrested. He agreed to meet the deputies and the victim at the state line in Washington to return the ferret. After the victim was returned the ferret, she spoke with the suspect and no longer wished to pursue charges. The case updated to closed, victim refused. 21-02795

• Deputies responded to E Painters Loop for a cold battery between juveniles. They spoke with the R/P who stated his daughter was battered by another neighbor boy. She was uninjured, however, this had been an ongoing issue for some time. They attempted to contact the suspect's parents, however, were unable to. A report was completed. 21-02882

• A Deputy took a supplemental call regarding a theft taken earlier in the day at E Cape Horn Road. The R/P called to report that after the property owner posted the theft on a neighborhood watch site, he was contacted by a female stating her ex-boyfriend had showed up to her house at 0400 hours claiming to have just stolen several tools from a residence. She kicked him out of the house and he had not returned. The male is the suspect in many recent thefts to include several package thefts, and a stolen vehicle in the last month. The Deputy was unable to identify the female who posted the information, nor was he able to locate the suspect. A supplemental report was completed. 21-02828

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to S. Flicker Lane in Harrison for a wanted subject. The R/P reported a wanted female to be sitting in a vehicle in his driveway. Deputies contacted the female and placed her under arrest for active warrants. Upon arrest, Deputies located methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia. She was also charged for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. 21-02937

• A Deputy responded to E. Timberland Rd in Athol for a trespassing/unwanted. The R/P stated an unknown male had trespassed onto her property passed her private gate and knocked on her door asking for gas. The R/P later stated the male did not walk up her driveway, but, came from the wooded area around her residence. Deputies contacted a male and provided him a courtesy ride to his residence. No crime was committed however a report was completed to document the incident. 21-02929

• A Patrol Sergeant contacted a male at Higgens Point. He was cited and released for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. 21-02945
