STIMULUS: Pay it forward

I read the Opinion article written by Len Crosby which appeared in Saturday’s edition. I agree with Len. Whatever happened to the Republican Party, which I am a member of, being fiscally responsible? Our national debt has increased substantially under the current Republican administration.

Millions of Americans need help because of the coronavirus due to job losses. These people need help paying for housing and or putting food on the table. There are also millions of Americans who do not need the help. Why would anyone think an individual making up to $75,000 per year needs another $600 or a couple earning up to $150,000 should be given $1,200?

We are going to be donating our stimulus money to an organization that supports those who really need the help. To those who really need the help, $600 will not go very far.

Kootenai County residents are extremely generous when it comes to giving and I encourage you to continue. Please re-direct this government handout to those who truly need the help.
