RESERVE CORP: Already on the job
To answer Deborah Douglas, the writer who suggested that we activate the Idaho Medical Reserve Corp to help vaccinate against COVID-19, the MRC has been in action against COVID-19 since March.
I am a retired RN who has been volunteering in this effort since March. It is MRC volunteers who have been manning the COVID hotline from the beginning. It is MRC volunteers who have assisted PHD staff with contact tracing. It is now MRC volunteers who are helping to vaccinate the local first responders and other health care workers.
I have been busy vaccinating in Kellogg and will be doing more this week. I am surprised you didn’t check with the manager of the MRC before writing your letter to the editor. Instead of writing, why don’t you volunteer to help?
