| January 11, 2021 1:00 AM

Peak Health and Wellness Center is partnering with the American Red Cross for a kids water safety class starting Wednesday.

Geared to children ages 4 to 7, the courses will be led by Peak Aquatic Director Jennifer Leedy and lifeguard and instructor Natasha Adams.

Featuring topics like “Never Swim Alone,” “Don’t Just Pack it, Wear Your Jacket,” and “Think Before You Sink,” the lessons aim to prevent water-related injuries.

The classes are Wednesdays on Jan. 13, 20, Feb. 10 and 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Peak Health and Wellness Center on Ironwood Drive in Coeur d'Alene.

Included in the program are a 30-minute classroom topic, 45-minute in-pool skill application, and 45 minutes of fun pool time. Cost is $25 per class.
