Free barbecue for first responders

Candlelight Christian Fellowship is having a free barbecue for first responders from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 15.

Brisket sandwiches will be served in the church parking lot at Dalton Avenue and U.S. 95. Skate Plaza passes will also be given away.

Firefighters, law officers and medical providers are welcome.

Candlelight Pastor Paul Van Noy said they want to be a blessing to first responders, especially during these challenging times.

“We recognize the fact there are many serving in our community and the workload is excessive,” he said. “We just want to say thank you for their faithful service to those in our county.”
