GOP: Then — and now
The South Shall Rise Again, a phrase often repeated over the decades. The current Republican Party actions eerily reflect that of the Old South; states rights, raising the Bible to the level of government, suppressing minorities.
These policies failed in 1865 by the defeat of the Confederacy, in 1965 with the passage of the Civil Rights Act and in 1968 by the defeat of George Wallace and the American Independent Party.
Real Republicans should stand up and vote these people out of their party. Descendants of European countries in the U.S. need to accept they are no longer in the majority and work with the new majority to continue the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the advancement of Western Civilization.
