MASKS: Your rights and mine
I continue to be astonished that there are still folks denying the power of wearing a simple mask and believe they have some right to potentially infect the rest of us. Neither the Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc., provide for stupidity. Not only Super 1 but Safeway doesn’t require shoppers to wear them, though the staff does. Pilgrims, where you’d think folks are wanting good health, was especially egregious in this regard.
YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO AVOID MASK-WEARING! Like you have no right to talk on your cell while driving, not wearing a seatbelt, wearing clothes! There are laws and regulations for a reason: to protect those around us. If you don’t care about yourself, at least have a modicum of care for those around you.
This is not a political cause. I have recently heard a friend state that he wouldn’t get vaccinated because Biden espoused doing so. Bull! How not wearing a mask, getting vaccinated, washing your hands, social distancing, etc., got to be a political issue I can’t even imagine.
Wake up! Both GOP and Dems are dying. Even Christian pastors are dying. It’s a HEALTH issue folks. Those getting their opinions and facts solely from Fox News are not getting a true picture of the mess that COVID has created and is leading folks astray in forming opinions, making decisions.
We have to wear clothes; it’s a societal norm. Like wearing a mask should be after all these months and so many lives lost. If you don’t wear a mask, expect me to show up nude at the next anti-mask demonstration!
