SNOW: Cd’A on top of it

| February 26, 2021 1:00 AM

I just wanted to say a huge Thank You to Coeur d’Alene.

Where else can you live when, after a 4-6-inch snow storm, the roads are pretty much cleared by 9 a.m. Maybe not the residential, but the main arterials. AND all of our beautiful trail paths (McEuen, Atlas Mill, Lake Coeur d’Alene Drive, Dike Road) were cleared for us to enjoy by 9 also!

Kudos also to our libraries which found a way to serve us safely by curbside pickup of books and computer appointments. Amazing community outreach to keep these services available and be safe at the same time!

Love Lives Here Coeur d’Alene and Civic Engagement Alliance, with a ton of happy volunteers, delivered kindness cards to our police, EMTs, physicians and nurses, senior living areas and restaurants. Everyone they could think of to thank them for their service during COVID.

First Presbyterian stepped up and housed the kiddos at North Idaho College who had their facility crunched during the windstorm.

I know I am missing a ton of happy, community involvement reaching out and helping Coeur d’Alene, but you are noticed! You are felt! Thank you soooooo much. This is the Coeur d’Alene that I have known and loved since 1992. This is the town that comes together! So proud to be a member of this community.

And I personally helped push someone with summer tires out from the Post Falls Community Forest parking lot the other afternoon lol. It’s what we do. What we need to continue to do.
