Race the Joe in the works

Organizers of the Race the Joe jet boat races say the event is on for this year, the St. Maries Gazette reported.

After last year’s event was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, organizer Shirley Ackerman said this year's race is slated for May 21 through May 23, according to the Gazette report.

The annual race attracts jet boat racing teams from around the globe and has been an area tradition since 2012.
