Gookin to speak at Libertarian summit

| February 23, 2021 1:00 AM

Coeur d’Alene City Councilman Dan Gookin will keynote the Inland Northwest Porcupine Freedom Summit next month.

The summit is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the Idaho Panhandle Libertarian Party and the Spokane County Libertarian Party for fellow Libertarians to make their appointments and listen to speakers. Gookin said he was thankful to be invited to speak at the inaugural event.

“The Libertarian Party is a good alternative to the two big parties,” Gookin said. “There is a lot of overlap between the two parties, so being a Libertarian is a good place for people who are an odd fit.”

The summit will be held Saturday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Red Lion Templin’s Hotel on the River in Post Falls. Tickets are available at www.spokanelp.org
