POLICE: Yes, they’re our allies

Thank you to Coeur d’Alene officers who with their professionalism and quick work were able to identify and ticket the guy who broke into my home on Feb. 5. They even took DNA samples from the blood left behind on the broken storm door glass.

It was a harrowing experience to be woken up in the middle of the night with someone screaming downstairs, but by finding the size 12 shoe owner, who left them behind (after throwing one at my poor old lab!) quickly, and determining that the intruder was so drunk he didn’t even know he’d been in my house, it eased my mind considerably.

There is so much negative info about law enforcement these days, I just want the people of Coeur d’Alene to know that there are heroes here working hard to keep us safe.
