VACCINE: Start with eldest

It is only the first days, and clearly the vaccine distribution plan for 65-plus seniors is not going well. Here is my plan: Ditch the huge “65 and older” group and move that to more manageable subgroups, with the most vulnerable, the oldest, going first.
So, those people who are 90 years of age and up go first. Then those who are 85-90; then 80-85; 75-80; 70-76 and then 65-70-year-olds. This is the fairest way to make limited quantities of vaccine go into the arms of those who are most vulnerable to COVID-19.
It would help matters if the hospitals and Panhandle Health would reach out to the elderly public through TV stations, this newspaper and senior centers and not just on their websites.
