GREENE: Idaho’s silence disturbing

| February 10, 2021 1:00 AM

I have been following with interest the Marjorie Taylor Greene problem and how our Representatives Fulcher and Simpson voted. They voted against stripping her of her committee assignments.

Greene wanted to carry a gun with her into the House chamber when there are rules against this. She also refused to go through the metal detectors.

She has advocated violence stating the Speaker of the House should be shot and there should be public hangings of Democrats.

Shouldn’t our legislators hold people accountable? By not doing anything, they are agreeing with Greene and the violence she is advocating.

Let’s leave politics aside. The schools have rules about carrying guns into the school. If a legislator can ignore the rules, why can’t students ignore the rules and carry a gun to school? If you say it is different, how so?

As a society, we make rules/laws for the good of the entire society. When a society has members advocating that rules/laws only apply to certain people, then society is slipping toward anarchy.
