Jacob Tyler Compton

Jacob Compton, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, departed this world unexpectedly on Jan. 20, 2021, while vacationing in Cancun, Mexico with his girlfriend, Kourtney Roth. Jacob was a devoted and loving father, son, brother and friend. In his 36 years of life, Jacob graced all of us with his larger than life personality, his contagious smile and laughter, his love of life and adventure, and his ability to fill a room with his presence alone.

Jacob loved having a good time and had many passions in his life, such as snowboarding, hiking, climbing, white water rafting, camping, fishing and boating, just to name a few. His love of adventure was endless and he lived life to the fullest.

Jacob is survived by his mother, Cathy Compton; father and step-mother, Brad and Jenny Compton; brother, Jerry Compton; sister, Alicia Compton; brother-in-law, Michael Shellard; niece and nephew, Rhya and Onyx Shellard; step-brothers, Austin and Logan; and his beautiful 4-year-old daughter and love of his life, Harper Jean Compton.

Jacob was taken from us too soon but the love we all shared for him will continue for all time. Jacob loved and lived with all his heart and we truly believe his heart was full when he entered his eternal resting place. His memory will live on through all our stories, love and laughter, as well as our tears. Rest easy Jake, we’ll see you soon, we love you forever.

The family will be holding a memorial service at 1 p.m. on March 13, 2021, in Jake's honor at Real Life ministries, 1860 N. Cecil Road, Post Falls, Idaho.
