Trench worker rescued

Kootenai County Fire & Rescue crews pulled a worker to safety after he was injured in an accident Friday morning.
Construction crews were working in a large utility trench when a worker was pinned between the trench wall and a piece of equipment, according to KCFR.
The crews treated the patient, packed him for removal, removed him from the trench and transported him to the local trauma center as a Priority 3 trauma alert.
"Responding crews did an outstanding job of mitigating a serious situation," KCFR posted on its Facebook page.
No information about the patient's condition was available.
