MASKS: Just ‘woke’ ideology
Mask requirements by commercial enterprises are the next step in “woke” business practices where government agendas and ideological doctrines are pressured upon the patron by the store.
Many are outraged at this collusion of enforcement by private places of business. Yet, the affirmation and influencing of ideology upon conditions for buying and selling have been intruding on consumers for several years now.
Corporations publicly affirm their belief in the religion of social justice and enforce within their ranks (and upon their customers) total compliance to politically correct speech and causes. For a culture comprised of people who distrust organized religion, it seems strange that they would consume moral instruction from faceless corporations — lecturing the masses about inclusivity, kindness and diversity.
This is a wonky system. Humans were designed to long for connection to the divine, for religion. Those reactionary souls who look at the corporatocracy with disgust are also beguiled by the sense that government could ever provide the answer.
While it is always important to make a stand against infractions to individual rights, this is also not where salvation is to be found.
The battleground for our liberty and freedom is in the culture, for culture influences government. The solution is to be found where tradition has always held: in God. Long has it been stigmatized to proselyte the cause of faith, but the saying has never been truer — we all need Jesus. It is time to reprioritize our focus away from politics and back on God.
