Delores Maria Hanson, 91

| December 28, 2021 1:00 AM

Delores Maria Hanson, 91, from Hauser, Idaho, was called back to her Heavenly Father on Dec. 2, 2021, in Hayden, Idaho. Delores M. Zuraff was born to her loving parents Ethel Emmert and Henry Zuraff in Bismarck, N.D. on June 22, 1930. She was the youngest of eight siblings including Marge, Gladys, Hazel, Eveline, Dorothy, Jinx, Harold and Dwayne.

She married the love of her life, Thomas J. Hanson, in Harrison, Idaho, on May 10, 1948. Together they had four children Carole, Thomas, Susie and James, and resided in Wallace, Idaho; Post Falls, Idaho; and Newman Lake, Wash.

Delores enjoyed working on the farm as well as taking care of individuals in her home in Newman Lake, Wash. Later she enjoyed her final years growing petunias in her backyard and doing yard work at her residence in Hauser, Idaho. If she wasn't in her backyard, she was taking the casino's money; she was one lucky lady. She loved taking rides around the Pacific Northwest to visit all the beautiful locations (and their casinos).

She is survived by her daughter Carole Washburn (Hauser, Idaho), son and daughter-in-law James and Jennifer Hanson (Newman Lake, Wash.), daughter-in-law Carol Rector (The Dalles, Wash.) son-in-law Jerry Dassow (Colville, Wash.), 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was immensely loved and will be greatly missed by her entire family and all those who knew her.

A mass will be said in her honor on Jan. 22, 2022, at St. Joseph's church in Otis Orchards, Wash. Please share your thoughts and memories in Delores’s online memorial at belltowerfuneralhome.com.
