MOOSE: Going to the dogs

| December 26, 2021 1:00 AM

Those moose can be a pesky problem. The gentleman with the moose in his barn could have been seriously injured or even killed.

We recently had a cow and calf wandering our neighborhood near the Coeur d’Alene public golf course like they were entitled residents. The pair wandered into our front yard and proceeded to chow down on our prized kousa dogwood that we planted last summer. I politely urged them to leave and clapped and stomped around a bit, but they were completely absorbed in the dogwood.

So I gave them a quick blast on our dog’s pet corrector, and they departed post haste (but not in a panic). It’s quick, safe and harmless, and it is available at many pet stores for about $13.
