Nancy Gail Minor, 84

| December 19, 2021 1:00 AM

Nancy Gail Minor (age 84) entered Heaven on Dec. 7, 2021, due to complications following a fall while wintering in Peoria, Ariz. At the time of Nancy’s passing, she was enjoying life with her husband of 65 years, Ed Minor (and their two doggies, Brody and Charlie).

Nancy was born to Grace Bergeman on Aug. 18, 1937 in Wenatchee, Wash. Her father, Jack Bergeman died from a fall while working on Grand Coulee Dam just prior to Nancy’s birth.

Nancy spent her childhood in and around Wenatchee. After waiting for her high school crush to return from serving an Air Force tour in Okinawa, Nancy married Eddie, on March 10, 1956. They soon began a family, a family that became Nancy’s life! They moved to many different homes within the states of California, Washington, Montana and Idaho, settling in Spokane, and most recently Liberty Lake. Nancy worked hard raising kids and helping with family ventures, such as Zip’s Drive-in restaurants. She loved planning family vacations and getting the whole Minor clan together.

Nancy was one spunky, classy lady! She loved Jesus and going to church! The Daily Bread Devotional was an important part of her daily routine. Her faith was so deep, a prayer warrior like none other! Nancy loved people and seemed to have a special gift of making connections. Her sense of humor, gift of gab and love of teasing always brought a smile. Nancy was incredibly generous and found great joy in anonymously blessing people.

Nancy had an artsy flair in fashion and décor. She loved shoes, purses and scarves! Redecorating and remodeling their home was her constant hobby! She loved music, especially rock 'n’ roll. She loved to dance, read mysteries, work crossword puzzles, play Trivial Pursuit, donate to Nordstrom and Harrah’s, watch the Seahawks, Mariners, Zags and grandkids’ sports!

Nancy’s legacy lives on in her “3 Good Kids”, Kim (Keith) Metcalf of Post Falls, Idaho, Kelly (Cathy) Minor of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Karin (Garry) Fowler of Post Falls, Idaho; her grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Metcalf, Tara (Ryan) Downie, Adam Metcalf (in Heaven), Casey (Brigid) Minor, Kory (Renee) Minor, Kelsey (Daryl) Wilder, Chad (JoAnna) Fowler, as well as 14 great-grandchildren … all of whom she prayed for daily! Until we meet again, Nanny, “Bye darlin.”

Nancy’s life will be celebrated for the rest of our lives; a family graveside service will be held at Pines Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the MS Association, Ross Point Camp, or anywhere you see a heartfelt need.

Hebrews 4:16: “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Nancy’s verse when she accepted Christ)
