DEFUND: How about prosecutors?

| December 19, 2021 1:00 AM

Everyone is complaining about “defunding the police” but nobody is talking about defunding the prosecutors. The police do their job with upholding the law. They arrest the person who did the crime and the prosecutors “plea down the charges” that the judges sentenced the criminal with in the first place.

I really feel sorry for the police and the probation officers that invest so many hours to just watch the Prosecutors throw everything out and turn the criminal back out on the street so that they can keep stealing.

Today I was in court and the person I was there for ... well ... this court was just as disappointing. The prosecutors dropped the stealing the car charge, the PV for leaving rehab, the meth and heroin use, the PV for not ever reporting to jail when instructed, and her other PV for pot from November as long as she pleaded guilty to her other PV for drug paraphernalia with intent to use. Guess what she did? So ... she got 20 days in jail, no more probation and no fees.

She doesn’t have to report until Jan. 3, 2022. She does have her other trial (that she requested a jury for) in Spokane for shoplifting and the possession of meth on Dec. 27.

Hopefully the jury will hold her accountable for her stealing since everyone pays when someone steals. I really hope so.

Nobody else is.
