WORLEY — There is still time to nominate a nonprofit to receive help from the Coeur d'Alene Casino.

Each year in honor of Winter Blessing the Coeur d’Alene Casino gives $20,000 to deserving individuals and nonprofits.

Twenty families will each receive $500 and 10 nonprofit organizations in the Inland Northwest will each receive $1,000.

The community is encouraged to nominate nonprofit organizations by Sunday. Nominations for individuals are closed. Nominations can be submitted at 937themountain.com.

There are also many holiday sales and chances to win cash and a new F-150 truck at the casino, which is about 25 miles south of Coeur d'Alene.

"Join the fun this Saturday, Dec. 18 for the chance to win one of 30 cash and Extra Play Cash prizes valued between $1,000 and $12,000," said a press release. "Plus, one of the lucky winners in the 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. giveaway will win a truck and a cash grand prize package valued at $58,000. To earn entries, play a favorite video gaming machine, receive one entry for every 500 points earned with a Coeur Rewards card."

The casino resort employs between 850 to 1,100 depending on the season and has contributed more than $33.3 million to education in the region since it opened in 1993.
