William 'Bill' Mark Puddy

May 6, 1951 — Dec. 14, 2021

On Dec. 14, 2021, Bill went home to be with the Lord after a long-fought battle with cancer.

He was born to Mark and Valdine (Plog) Puddy in Hood River, Ore.

Bill was a very special man and touched a lot of lives in so many ways. When he was in junior high, his mother, stepdad and two sisters moved from Oregon to Smelterville, Idaho. He has always said that the Silver Valley was a great place to grow up.

Preceded in death by his mother Valdine and stepfather Larry Clark; father, Mark Puddy; his maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Fred Plog; his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Mildred Puddy; and nephew Tanner Bisaro Pascoe.

He is survived by his wife Connie Puddy of 40 ½ years; son, Mark (Gemma) Puddy; daughter, Chris Gleason; sisters, Catherine (Randy) Bradshaw and Annette (Rod) Wingfield. In-laws Caroline White, Ed (Jennifer) Hudson, Hal (Keila) Hudson and Pamela Hudson. Six grandchildren (Amanda, Victoria, Stephanie, Shawn, Sarah, & Beckett) and five great-grandchildren (Alexandria, Mark, Jaxson, Theodore and James Jr.)

Bill was a positive and wonderful man with an excellent demeanor. He always had a positive presence in the room. Always tastefully funny and joking with everyone. He was hard working and reliable; there when you needed a friend. He cultivated all these qualities throughout life and that made him who he was.

Many were proud to call him a friend. May we all find peace with his passing and celebrate the coming season with joy and happiness in Bill's honor.

A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Yates Funeral Home Coeur d’Alene Chapel: 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814. A funeral service to be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Post Falls 1824 E. 16th Ave.
