Tony Ray Napier aka "Poppy," 63

Tony Ray Napier aka "Poppy," 63 years old of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 6, 2021, due to medical complications. Tony was born May 22, 1958, in Kellogg, Idaho, to Patsy and David "Danny" Napier.

In Tony's younger days, he was an active and curious boy. He loved life and all it had to offer. In his late teenage years, he met his ex-wife and mother of his only child, Karen McElroy. They married and had a child in 1978. In the early '80s, Tony worked at a family pizzeria in Montana. Then in the mid to late '80s, he started his own business with his brother. They worked side by side for several years in their own business and as painters/maintenance at Ross Point Apartments in Post Falls, Idaho.

In the mid-'90s, he became a grandfather. From that point forward, he would be known as "Poppy." He loved family and treated all the kids as if he was their Poppy.

Tony leaves behind his mother Patsy Napier; his daughter Christine Napier; his grandchildren Brooke Napier, Brayden and Kailey Cargile; great-grandchild Aurora; his brothers Mike and Tim Napier and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, David "Danny" Napier.

Some of Tony's passions were painting, cooking, fishing, hunting, a great sense of humor, family and celebrating holidays. Christmas and The Fourth of July being some of his favorites to celebrate.
