Jonathan Dilger, 69

| December 17, 2021 1:00 AM

Jonathan Dilger, born June 6, 1952, was called to heaven on Dec. 6, 2021. He has left behind his son, D. Joshua Dilger, of Marysville, Wash., and a son, Vice; and siblings, Ben, Doris, and Kathy.

Jonathan was a young man when he worked at the docks in Washington. Years later he and his good friend Gary moved to Idaho. There he did many jobs and started building houses with his best friend Ralph Harwood. They built many homes in the area. Jonathan could build most anything from sheds to million dollar homes. He was a hard-working man up until his death. After building homes, he retired as the No. 1 ranch hand for Cynthia Robinson in Hayden Lake, Idaho. For 18 years, there he found peace with nature, loved all animals and haying for Cynthia’s horses. He did anything and everything for Cynthia. He kept the ranch at its fullest beauty. He was always collecting wood for winter all year round.

Jonathan was a great man, loving, and a great sense of humor. He was grandpa to his friend’s children and he loved it! Ralph and Jonathan were so close; they were like brothers. Cynthia and all who knew him will miss him forever.

Jonathan was one in a million. If you knew him, you loved him — he was so kind hearted. In loving memory, Jonathan is with God now.

I would like to thank my neighbors and friends that helped me. They were there for Jonathan and I. Special thanks to Cheryl Jacobson for her special help. We will miss him always.
