Tamara (Tami Sue) Nickson 1966-2021

Tamara Sue Nickson passed away on Dec. 7, 2021, at her parent’s home in Newport, Wash. Tami’s life may have been cut short, but she touched the hearts of many while she was with us.

Tami was born on Oct. 19, 1966, to Ronald and Raelene Nickson. After her parent’s divorce in 1971 her mother would go on to marry Douglas Rigg in 1980. Doug saw Tami and her brother Randy and sister Katie as his own and raised them alongside his own three children Kim, Dee and Dawn, from his previous marriage. Tami loved Doug and each of her siblings with all of her heart.

Tami was loved by and loved so many. She is preceded in death by her father Ronald Nickson and her Grandparents Billie, Raymond and Mildred and her Aunts Rosie, Mary, Elizabeth, Suzie, and Orpah, and her Uncle Randy. She is also preceded in death by the recent passing of her dear nephew Justin Deavitt.

Tami’s passion for life revolved around her friends. She loved her friends as family. She loved her work. She served as a waitress and bartender at The Corner Bar in CDA, at the Corner Cafe in Post Falls and most recently at the Dueling Irons in Post Falls. Tami also loved her animals. She cherished her cats Veeners (rip) and Dayla and her boyfriend’s dog Cleo. Tami loved the outdoors, and enjoyed camping and water sports. She was artistic and loved creating her diamond dots. Tami was feisty and independent. She was quiet and peaceful as well. She was rebellious, too. She did it her way. She loved her boyfriend William (Jim) Kromoff. They had many beautiful memories together. She had so many close friends that it is impossible to list all of them here. Just know that she loved each of you.

Tami is survived by her loving boyfriend Jim Kromoff and her family: stepfather Doug Rigg, mother Raelene Rigg, brother Randy Rigg, and sister Katie Tracy and her husband Max Tracy, and her stepsisters, Kimberly Eaton and husband Larry, Diane Palm and Dawn Craw. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. There are so many family members that there is not enough room to mention. She loved you all.

A celebration of life is being planned for 12-3 p.m., Jan. 8, at her favorite bar, Bob’s 21 Club in Post Falls, Idaho.
