Deacon Robert “Bob” Cyr, AIA, 86

The family of Robert Anthony Cyr honors his passing. Bob, a former Deacon of Coeur d’Alene’s St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church went to be with the Lord on Dec. 3, 2021.

His kind heart, words and deeds will never be forgotten.

He was born on May 14, 1935. After high school, he graduated from the Boston Architectural College in 1954. A patriot, Bob served in the United States Air Force for eight years.

He married Barbara Ball in 1950 and he cherished three children, Denise, Bobby, Eric and a lovely adopted daughter Donna.

After Barbara died in 1971, Bob became a licensed architect. He was an AIA certified architect with nationwide credentials and success.

Bob married Theresa Warland aka Terry Cyr in 1984. She had two daughters Michele and Debbie. The two families combined to make one, comprising of six children.

Bob was so proud to become a Catholic Deacon in July 2001. Bob lovingly served, and he became a Chaplain that same year.

Bob and Terry lived in Hawaii for 31 years. He was a Yacht Club Commodore in Hawaii and designed many buildings and residences including his own home.

The couple moved to Coeur d’Alene in 2014 and he then began his role as Deacon at St. Thomas.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m., Dec. 15, 2021, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, located at 919 E. Indiana Ave., in Coeur d’Alene. And now the angels have led Bob to his Savior. As the Lord embraces him, his family now carries Bob in their hearts forever.
