Tesh gets fresh new look

COEUR d'ALENE — After 10 years, Tesh, Inc. is releasing an updated brand identity, which includes a new logo and brighter colors.

“We believe the new look better matches who we are and (what) we do at Tesh," said Marcee Hartzell, CEO. "We aren’t changing it just for the sake of change. We are changing the logo because it’s not doing the job we want it to do anymore."

The previous Tesh logo was created in 2010.

“Our design goal was to better match our values and better represent the opportunities we provide for our community,” Hartzell said.

Tesh has been providing opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities in the community since 1976. It offers program for individuals with disabilities "who are seeking greater independence, self-sufficiency, and participation in their community."

Hartzell recently worked with North Idaho College graphic and web design students on the creation of the new logo.

Tesh ended with 13 designs from nine students. That was narrowed to six and then finally student Duke Richardson’s design was selected.

“When working with Marcee on the Tesh logo I was really trying to encapsulate what this organization is all about," Richardson said.

The graphic design students will continue with a branding project for Tesh into the next year.

“Thrilled to partner with my alma mater and couldn’t think of a better way to get a project of this magnitude underway," Hartzell said.
