Wildlife staff in the Panhandle Region want to hear what you think about upland game, turkey and furbearer season proposals in the region and elsewhere in the state

Sportsmen input on proposed regulation changes helps wildlife managers understand sportsmen preferences and shapes hunting and trapping seasons for the next two years.

Fish and Game is seeking public comments on statewide upland game, turkey and furbearer season proposals for 2022-2023. There are two proposed regulation changes in the Panhandle Region that Fish and Game would like to hear sportsmen's thoughts on. This is your opportunity to participate in the decisions Fish and Game makes.

Providing comments is easy and takes less than a few minutes.

Panhandle Region Proposal 1:

Create archery-only upland game animal/bird seasons to be consistent with current archery white-tailed deer season (Nov. 1 – Dec. 1) on Farragut State Park/WMA.

Panhandle Region Proposal 2:

Create an archery-only spring turkey hunt from April 15–30 and an archery-only fall turkey hunt to be consistent with current archery white-tailed deer season from Nov. 1 – Dec. 1 on Farragut State Park/WMA.

Comments will be taken until Friday.
